About Scott Yao
Scott Yao was born in the small town of Beitou, Taiwan, known for its hot springs near the sea and the surrounding Yangming mountain. Surrounded by the environment's natural beauty, Scott gravitated towards expressing that beauty in art early on his childhood. Although Scott was not formally trained, he appreciated art in its various forms, most notably that of portraiture.
Through experimentation, exploration and effort, Scott honed his own painting style, influenced and refined by his background in engineering and architecture. His work fuses experience, culture and spirituality in a unique way. His life and soul are dedicated to art.
He continues to add to his repository of harmonious beauty, appreciating it in all its varied forms. Scott Yao is an architect, an engineer and also a master of painting. His work focuses on life itself, rendering it in aesthetic vision. He constantly forges ahead, and uses his artistic passion to create more and better works of art.
